Speed Sketching- Finished Illustration Assignment
Went on a photo shoot with the Speed Sketching class and took hundreds of pictures collectively. Picked one where I was pretending to be a corpse. The assignment was to draw a finished 10"x 15" illustration. "Finished", meaning finished pencils. This is the end result.

Boba Fett Day Week- Robocop
Met a buddy at a wrap party for another friend's film. That buddy, Kevin Zeigler. His proposition: Draw Robocop for a blog thing. That thing is known as Boba-Fett-Day-Week.
It's penciled and he's saying the best line from the 1987 classic film completely out of context. I was drawing it my friend Melzer's and we accidentally spilled beer on though, and it got folded under two books on the way home. Damn. But Murphy's lookin' good anyway!

rough pages: short story
Sunday, July 4, 2010
Long time...it's been a while...well I got you a shirt.
It's been some time bloggers. Like four months...UGH. I didn't personally like any of the work I did in the past few months so I said, "Fuck it."
But I have been doing some other work here and there, including some Pro-Bono work for a church up north and a few friends looking for working artists. A freind wanted an illustration: Done. Church wants a big comic page mapping the history of the church: Halfway there. Another friend was looking for submissions to his web-comic's site: Done and Done. Then there's the eight-page story I'm doing for a horror anthology: Two pages in and still moving! images of these projects and a few others will be up in a few days.

BRICK graphic novel (cover art)
There is a lovely little feature entitled "BRICK" that I am particularly fond of. For an assignment in Alternative and Experimental Comics, the class was to create a parody or homage to another artist or subject. Darwyn Cooke's art styling and my haphazard B-S-ing meet in an homage to both Parker: The Hunter (adapted by Cooke) and "BRICK".
If you would like to know what "Brick" is all about, BAM!!

Check it out!!
Darwyn Cooke's Adaptation of Parker: the Hunter is a graphic novel released by IDW Press. It's fantastic. Look into that as well.
